Welcome to the D. Y. Patil Education Society (Deemed to be University) Kolhapur
I am pleased to welcome you all to a university where pursuance of excellence is a way of life and where stakeholders consciously value quality enhancement with global consciousness. We are committed to contributing to Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and meeting the challenges of the changing scape of education, in India and across the world.Since establishment, the university has made a mark in areas of research, academics, healthcare, and community service. This is reflected in the NAAC Accreditation with A++ grade, and other rankings and accreditations. In the near future, the university shall enter international rankings to be relevant on a global platform.
A student-centred learning environment offers personal support, learning resources, and a responsive administration. Our commitment to high standards of academics is realised through a complement of highly experienced, dedicated faculty who jointly with the administrative machinery seamlessly ensure imparting of curriculum. The state-of-art Simulation and Skill Centre and the Bioskill Laboratory are unique immersive learning tools that are available. Faculty development is and shall always remain an area of utmost importance with enhancement of learning resources.
Holistic student development is a priority. Cocurricular and extracurricular offerings provide a well-rounded student experience. Professional development, soft skills training, ethic education, mental health form part of transformative efforts. We encourage and support multidimensional student engagement fostering creativity, talent, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Innovation, collaboration with industry, interinstitutional collaborations, are inherent in our efforts to pursue research in thrust areas and emerging fields such as Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine, Nanoscience, Biosensors and others. Access of researchers to advanced research laboratories, intramural funding, support for grant applications and training protocols have yielded patents, copyrights and high impact publications. We aim to further our research collaborations and innovations.
