World food safety day.

As there is increase in the covid-19 cases all over the world, the most crucial home remedy we as a common man can do is to look after our immune system. Daily there are hundreds of messages pooping up on social media what to do and what not to build up a strong immune system like, consume these vegetables, drink kadha, perform a yoga and many more…But when we are about to cook or prepare something we end up asking question to ourselves; Is the food that we are consuming today is healthy for us? Has the food gone through a lot of procedures before coming into our plate? And if they are gone through a lot of procedure is it appropriate to consume? And n number of questions comes to our minds.

To come through this we can make a small initiative to farm on our own without using any pesticides or chemicals which is known as organic farming “Organic farming is a production system that sustains the health of soils, ecosystems and people. It relies on ecological processes, biodiversity and cycles adapted to local conditions, rather than the use of inputs with adverse effects. Organic agriculture combines tradition, innovation and science to benefit the shared environment and promote fair relationships and a good quality of life for all involved”.

So utilize the free space to grow plants on your own. It can be your backyards or terrace or balcony. Bring small pots put some soil, put some natural fertilizer, sow a seed in the soil add some more soil, water them daily and there you go you will have freshly grown vegetables. And if you have large space plants some of the fruit plants so that your children’s and grandchildren’s will also be able to eat fresh and healthy; as the saying goes “what you sow today will repay you tomorrow.” Here you go eat fresh and build your immune system and stay healthy.

“Safe food for a healthy tomorrow”. Advantages of farming on your own.
